The EDGELIB SDK contains the EDGELIB game engine (static library files for all supported platforms), tools and documentation to easily create multi-platform games. The game engine is linked to your C++ application and provides a framework for easy access of graphics, input, networking and more.

Be sure to read the End-User License Agreement for Evaluation use. Licensees can download the commercial version of EDGELIB after logging in to the restricted area of Edgelib.com.

There are a number of useful EDGELIB tools available which can be used during development. These can be downloaded here. The tools are included in the SDK as well, but are presented here for your convenience.
EDGELIB Builder (formerly Edge IDE) manages multi-platform projects. This beta version is able to build for GP2X, Symbian Series 60 first and third edition, UIQ 2.1 and UIQ 3.0, Symbian Series 80 and 90, Windows Mobile 2002/2003/2005/2006 Pocket PC and Smartphone and Windows desktop through Visual C++ 6.0 and Visual C++ 2005.

EDGELIB Packer is a user friendly tool for Windows desktop to create platform independent file archives for use in EDGELIB-powered games. These file archives contain multiple files with optional compression to decrease the size of game resources. EDGELIB Packer 2.10 is backwards compatible with older versions.

The EDGELIB Animation Strip Maker tool takes multiple images and saves them as one file. These files will be automatically trimmed while keeping the animation intact. Use this tool after rendering multiple pictures with 3D rendering software to easily implement them in your games.

The EDGELIB Font tool can be used to easily create variable width fonts and smooth fonts. It takes an image with font characters, and transforms it into a font image file usable by EDGELIB.

With the EDGELIB font maker you can automatically create a font image file usable by EDGELIB for rendering. It will output an image based on the selected truetype font, size and color.

The EDGELIB Tile Scanner tool can be used to scan an entire image for tiles and duplicate tiles. Also, the tiles can be saved to a tilesheet file and a tilemap can be generated to add to your C++ source code.
